Good value for my small business

As a first-time buyer, I really looked for a good deal. I grabbed the MailPoet Business Plan during their annual billing discount period. It saved me a good chunk of money compared to paying monthly. The cost felt completely justified for all the features, especially the abandoned cart recovery for WooCommerce. Worth it.

Comprehensive email solution

I decided to go with the MailPoet Business Plan a few months back after comparing a few options. The ordering process was simple, and I chose the annual billing for the discount. Installation of the WordPress Email Plugin was easy enough, and I quickly got to grips with the Newsletter Builder. I particularly like the segmentation tools; they let me target specific subscriber groups really effectively. The customer service responded within a day when I had a question about SMTP for WordPress setup. My only critique is that the reporting could offer a bit more depth, but it's still quite useful. Overall, it's been a very positive experience, and the drag and drop editor makes design a breeze.

Consistent performance as always

This isn't my first time with MailPoet; I've been using their free plan for a while and just upgraded to the Creator Plan. The reliability is still there. My previous experience was smooth, and this upgrade was no different. The sending service has always been solid, and I appreciate that consistency. It's why I keep coming back when I need more features.

Easy to use plugin

I got the MailPoet Creator Plan last week. Setting it up was pretty straightforward, even for someone like me who isn't super techy. I built my first newsletter pretty fast with the drag and drop editor. It just felt natural to use, which is always nice.

Mostly good, some minor points

I purchased the MailPoet Business Plan for my e-commerce site about a month ago. The integration with WooCommerce was smooth, and the automated welcome emails are working well. Delivery of emails has been reliable, and the analytics are helpful. My only small issue was the initial setup docs; they could be a bit clearer on a few advanced settings. Overall, it's a solid product and definitely better than some competitors I've tried.

I'm currently on Mailchimp but it feels kinda clunky with WordPress. Is MailPoet actually better for a WordPress site or is it just more of the same?

M Mark 1 month ago
Oh man, for WP integration, MailPoet is a game changer. Everything is just right there in your dashboard, no jumping between tabs. Mailchimp always felt like an external thing.

I switched from Mailchimp too. MailPoet is definitely more native to WordPress. You can do post notifications and stuff super easy which was always a pain before. Plus, you get a decent free plan for like 1000 subscribers to try it out.

What's the deal with their sending service? Do I need to get a separate SMTP plugin or is it all included?

N Nina 1 month ago
It's included. You can use their sending service directly, which is nice because it keeps everything in one place. I use it and it's been pretty reliable for my small list.

You don't need a separate one, they have their own. Saves you from having to configure another thing. I think you can connect other SMTP if you really wanted to, but their default one works fine.

Thinking about getting MailPoet for my new blog. Is it really easy to use, especially for someone who's not super techy with WordPress stuff?

A Anna 1 month ago
Yeah, it's pretty drag-and-drop. I was able to get my first newsletter out pretty quick without pulling my hair out.

Totally, I found it way simpler than some other email services. The integration with WP is super smooth and the templates are a good starting point.

Anyone know if they do Black Friday deals? Thinking about signing up but could wait a bit if there's a big discount coming.

R Raj Foster 1 month ago
Yep, they usually have one. I got my annual plan like 30-40% off last Black Friday, so definitely worth waiting if you're not in a rush.

They typically do, yeah. Most of their big sales are around that time or Cyber Monday. Usually for new subs though, not renewals, just a heads up.

Are there any discounts for non-profits? Trying to keep costs down for our small organization.

R Renee Hughes 1 month ago
I'm pretty sure they do. I remember seeing something about it on their site or in their FAQs. Worth checking out for sure.

Yeah, I think they do offer a non-profit discount. You probably have to contact their support with proof of your non-profit status though, it's not usually an automatic thing at checkout.
